Somewhere in, or at least at Kyoto? .. I doen't know exactly where the original motive was made, and what the source of this picture is. I made this somewhere back in 2010 and unfortunately lost access to my old database, describing more of its origins.
This was one of the few works i made with Corel Painter.
I made this picture as a wish for my mother, who gave me a beautiful postcard-motive, which was of course showing the illustrated "Winterdorf". Translated "Winter Village" into English.
I don't know exactly who the original painter of that motive was. Perhaps anyone of you, dear visitors has a clue?

Captain Blackfinger and his fearsome crew are residing somewhere...... erm... at least in my fantasy and finally illustrated on this 2D-Artwork.
It was made just for fun and at least to enhance my skills at the End of August 2016. Made with the fantastic freeware Software "Krita" and my old Wacom-Bamboo-Drawing-Pad.
"Hafenschiffe" or Harbour Ships surely was inspired by the Spanish Armada or maybe renaissance portuguese Navy in some way. :)
Perhaps just imagine being at some mediterrean renaissance harbor back in 16th Century or so, if watching this! :)
Made with Photoshop in October of 2009 as a free inspired work.
The Model of the Black Warrior was first created with the awesome and Freeware 3D-Character-Generator "Make Human".
Later all was further composed by me inside Photoshop (Model, Background, Plants, etc.) to get the final result.
